Local resident Mike Rogers: “I thought we got nuked or something.” Matches and events were cancelled.
The Chevron facility processes 276,000 barrels of crude daily, supplying gasoline, jet fuel & diesel.
Governor Gavin Newsom’s office confirmed he was briefed; agencies continue real-time monitoring.
Officials assured: no evacuations, no immediate danger to public safety.
